Levain Boulangerie Patisserie

前一阵子和两老到 Levain 去吃午餐。

对于这间餐厅的认识,是从朋友的介绍而来的。当时,她很豪迈的说买就买了一条巧克力面包给我带回家。烤着吃,面包软而紧实,味道香浓而不腻,用的是黑巧克力,不会太甜。是日式的面包。

这样的水准,在吉隆坡不容易找到。于是网上搜索。是一间西餐厅。妖精欢喜得很,于是大伙找了个下午到那边坐坐。

点了两碟沙拉,两碟意粉。忘了拍照,于是网上搜了样品的照片。差别跟实际的不大。

Went to Levain Boulangerie Patisserie for a lunch with my parents some days ago.

The name was heard from friend. She intently bought a roll of chocolate bread for me as I thought she's joking. When toasted, the bread was soft but compacted,tastes rich and flavorsome but not up to greasy. They used black chocolate, which is not too sweet. It's a Japanese bread.

Food with such standard couldn't be found easily throughout KL, I thought, and therefore I go for a search on web. It's a bistro, and it well interested Ms. Elf from the look. So, we spent an afternoon having lunch there.

2 bowls of salads and 2 plates of pastas were ordered. I've forgotten to take the photos, but thanks to the ever-so-convenient internet, I managed to find pictures for the pastas. Scarcely any difference from what I've eaten though.



金枪鱼拌香蒜(pesto)口味意粉 - 跟平时所吃的香蒜酱有点不同,不过整体还不错,最重要的还是不腻。金枪鱼配香蒜酱的味道是好,但是对我而言这碟的金枪鱼放太多了,味道太重太浓,抢了香蒜酱原本的鲜味。点这一客的话,我建议尝试吃挤柠檬汁之前和之后的味道。
Spaghetti in pesto sauce with tuna flakes - A nice and different pesto sauce from what I've had for most of the time. Tuna matches well with the sauce, but to me the tuna flakes are a little bit too much. The smell and taste of tuna is a little too heavy, that it somehow overtaken the fragrance of pesto sauce. Anyone ordering this should try both the taste of the pasta, before and after squeezing the lemon juice.



肉碎番茄酱意粉 - 很简单的一碟面。普通,不过不失,但总算恰到好处。肉碎多,干酪多,爱心满满,干净利落。
Spaghetti in bolognese sauce - A very simple dish of pasta. Not remarkably special in any way, but everything is done just well. Lots of meat, lots of parmesan cheese. Neat taste with pleasant smell of spices.
